Support Us

Bridport Youth Community Centre has been operating as a youth club since 1968, however when Dorset County Council withdrew funding in 2016 a Charitable Trust was founded by local volunteers who took over running the centre and opened it up for wider community use. We now offer an array of activities, services, and initiatives
for people of all ages, from all walks of life.

Why we need support

BYCC is a small charity run by part time staff and volunteers. We receive valuable funding from Dorset County Council and Bridport Town Council but this only meets about 30% of our running costs. We rely on donations and income generated by hiring out our facilities to help fund what we do. We want to thank everyone who contributed to our crowdfunder in 2024 and helped save the centre from closure. We were amazed by the response and now have a plan in place to be more financially secure. We do however still need ongoing support to help us maintain our building and keep our youth clubs and community
activities open for all.
